Cindy Salim

Cindy Salim is a Principal Associate in the Dispute Resolution Department at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna, specialising in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, and arbitration. She advises and represents clients on a wide array of civil and commercial matters, with a particular focus on contractual disputes, corporate litigation, employment matters, and arbitration.

Cindy has acted for a major steel manufacturer before the Competition Authority of Kenya in a cartel investigation into the steel manufacturing industry; OLA Energy Kenya in an arbitration concerning the renewal of a Dealership Agreement; Freedom Limited in a petition before the Supreme Court of Kenya regarding a land dispute over approximately 900 acres; the Digital Lenders Association of Kenya in a constitutional petition challenging the Finance Act 2022; and Tatu City in an ICC arbitration concerning a construction dispute with claims exceeding USD 5.1 million. She has also defended a fintech platform against claims by former employees, including a class action regarding employee share options (ESOP), and has advised and represented various companies in employment disputes before the Employment and Labour Relations Court. She has advised Middle East Glass Manufacturing Company (MEG), a publicly listed company, on a potential dispute arising from the Finance Act 2021.

Cindy holds an LL.B from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (2016) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law (2019). She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
