He has deep expertise in brand protection and trademark registration, general commercial IP advice, software acquisition agreements, e‑commerce, data privacy compliance, consumer protection, promotions, and advertising matters.

Daniel has advised Uber on setting up operations in Kenya and the regulation of ridesharing products including Uber boda boda and Uber Eats; a social media company on laws and regulations applicable to elections in Kenya; Bharti Airtel on a Landing Provider Agreement for the Simba West Cable system; Stanbic Bank Kenya on the use of electronic signatures on a digital product; Absa Kenya on the migration of its brand to ABSA; Kansai Plascon Africa on IP rights arising from its acquisition of Sadolin Paints; and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals on advertising and marketing practices for pharmaceuticals in Kenya.

Daniel holds an LL.B from Moi University, a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of London, and a Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Public Secretary.
