Mitch Bushry

Mitch Bushry is an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial Practice at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate and commercial law. She advises on cross-border M&A, private equity investments, capital markets transactions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings across sectors such as technology, renewable energy, real estate, and financial services, with additional expertise in intellectual property law with a focus on entertainment, sports, and fashion.

Mitch has advised on the structuring and successful listing of a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), including regulatory compliance and capital markets approvals; on the structuring of a feeder fund in Kenya; on the preparation and submission of merger notifications to the Competition Authority of Kenya; and on buyer- and seller-side due diligence for M&A transactions in the telecommunications, food and beverage, health, and renewable energy sectors. She has also advised high-profile sports personalities, supported creatives with rights commercialisation strategies, and delivered IP masterclasses for youth talent programmes.

Mitch holds an LL.B from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and holds a Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (DALF C1).
