Vianney Sebayiga

Vianney Sebayiga is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution Department at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna, specialising in dispute resolution, international arbitration, and commercial litigation. He advises and represents clients on a wide array of matters, including commercial disputes, employment disputes, international arbitration, and civil disputes.

Vianney has acted for the Heineken Group in a disputed termination of distribution agreements before the High Court and Court of Appeal; Tatu City in an ICC arbitration over a construction dispute with claims exceeding USD 5.1 million; a private equity firm in recognition and enforcement proceedings of an LCIA international award in Kenyan courts; Conservation Alliance of Kenya in a public interest petition before the Environment and Land Court; and Planned Parenthood Federation of America in an employment dispute. He has also advised a leading global energy company on risks and liabilities arising from its exit from Product Sharing Contracts and Joint Operating Agreements, an agricultural multinational on searches and seizures under Kenyan law, and a global technology company on World Bank debarment implications under Kenyan public procurement law.

Vianney holds an LL.B from Strathmore University (2021), a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law (2023), and a Data Protection Course from CIPIT, Strathmore University. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK and Kenya). He has been published in peer‑reviewed academic journals and previously worked as a Teaching Assistant at Strathmore Law School and consulted for the Africa Development Bank and the Africa Legal Support Facility.
