Kiragu Kimani SC is a Senior Partner at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, specializing in Dispute Resolution. He has over three decades of experience in constitutional matters, tax litigation, procurement disputes, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and alternative dispute resolution, and has handled complex energy and tax disputes.

Kiragu has represented multinational firms, local firms, and departments of the Government of Kenya. Notable matters include acting in the presidential election petitions following the 2017 elections, challenging the application of tariffs for a limited liability company transmitting and retailing electricity in Kenya, acting for a multinational tobacco company in challenging sections of the Tobacco Control Act, 2007, acting for five major shipping agents in a tax dispute worth more than US$3 million with the Kenya Revenue Authority, and acting for a FMCG company in obtaining VAT refund payments of over US$2 million.

Kiragu holds an LL.B from the University of Nairobi (1987) and a Diploma of Law from the Kenya School of Law (1988). He was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1988.

He has been consistently recognised as a leading lawyer in Litigation by Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500, and was awarded the International Law Office Client Choice Award as the best litigation lawyer in Kenya (2011).
