Aisha Anwar Ahmed

Aisha Anwar Ahmed is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial Practice Group at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, and private client advisory. She advises clients on M&A transactions, corporate restructuring, due diligence, business set-ups, and general corporate advisory matters, as well as ESG compliance in Kenya.

Aisha has been involved in the restructuring of shareholding in a large building and construction company, conducted due diligence on one of the largest insurers in East Africa, advised an investment fund management company on capital markets compliance, drafted and reviewed transaction documents including Business and Assets Transfer Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, and Shareholders' Agreements, and advised various international clients on setting up businesses in Kenya. She has also provided legal advice to HIAS Kenya on registration options for an NGO and advised Africa Public Health Foundation on registration, tax, financial, employment, and compliance obligations, including obtaining tax exemptions for a company limited by guarantee.

Aisha holds an LL.B (Hons) from Jomo Kenyatta University and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law, where she was awarded Best Overall Student and Best in Conveyancing (2022).
