Njoroge Kangethe

Njoroge Kangethe is an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions department at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, mining law, and employment law. He has assisted in a series of M&A, mining, employment, and corporate transactions, advising both local and international clients across a wide range of sectors.

Njoroge has advised on significant matters including Project Karattha, involving one of the largest niobium reserves in Kenya; Project Kivu, one of Kenya's biggest publicly traded companies; Eni on all aspects of mining licensing in Kenya; StareX on setting up greenfield mining operations; and Milele Power Limited on the acquisition of a stake in the Lake Turkana Wind Project. He has also advised on corporate transactions including the acquisition of a 65% stake in Harley's Limited by IBL Ltd, the disposal of shareholding in Minet Holdings by Project Chuma, and the acquisition by Wafa Assurance of 51% of Geminia Insurance Company Limited. He has conducted vendor due diligence on Kyosk App and Java House Limited, as well as legal audits of Absa Bank Kenya PLC and East African Breweries Limited. In the employment space, he has drafted employment contracts for key employees at various companies, advised on long-term incentive plans and employee share option plans, and assisted with employee separations and disputes.

Njoroge holds an LL.B from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
