Beatrice Shitanda

Beatrice Shitanda is a Senior Associate at Bowmans, specialising in corporate governance, compliance, and company secretarial services. She advises Boards of Directors, executive management teams, and shareholders on governance best practices, statutory compliance, and regulatory requirements in line with Kenyan corporate law.

Her expertise spans convening and managing Board, Committee, and Shareholder meetings; preparing and reviewing minutes and resolutions; ensuring timely filings with the Registrar of Companies; and maintaining statutory registers. She also drafts, reviews, and implements corporate governance policies, charters, and codes of conduct, and facilitates Board evaluations and governance training.

Beatrice has a strong background in corporate restructuring, Board support, and compliance work, and is skilled at coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet tight deadlines in complex transactions. She also advises on shareholder engagement, corporate ethics, sustainability reporting, and alignment with emerging governance trends.
