Elvis Oyare

Elvis Oyare is an Associate in the Court Department at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, specialising in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, and international arbitration. He joined the firm as a pupil in 2022 and supports advising, representing, and defending domestic and international clients in a broad range of matters, including complex commercial disputes, insolvency, landlord and tenant, construction, and employment litigation.

Elvis has represented a prominent Kenyan bank in an ongoing High Court suit against directors and shareholders of a Kenyan company for a claim of Kshs. 800,000,000 being repayment of commercial loans and default under personal guarantees, successfully obtaining default judgment against the Defendants. He regularly assists in legal research and drafting of pleadings and documents for interlocutory applications, acts for high‑net‑worth private individuals in contentious probate disputes, and is part of the team representing hospitals, doctors, and insurers in medical negligence and personal injury claims.

Elvis holds an LL.B from the University of Nairobi (2020), a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law (2022), and a Diploma from the Kenya School of Revenue Administration (2022). He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
