Esther Muthiani

Esther Muthiani is an Associate at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, practicing in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution department, specializing in Dispute Resolution. She has experience in commercial, constitutional, and employment litigation, as well as local and international arbitration.

Esther has been part of teams advising and representing a technology solutions company before an arbitral tribunal in a dispute with the Government of Kenya over breach of contract valued at over US$50 million; advising a leading commercial bank before an arbitrator in a dispute with a county government over breach of contract for provision of services (over Kshs. 100 million); advising a leading commercial bank on appointment of a receiver and administrator for recovery of a debt of US$10 million; and advising clients across various sectors on non‑contentious employment matters including employee discipline, termination, restructuring, redundancy, and managing employee exits, as well as reviewing staff handbooks and policies to ensure compliance with Kenyan labour law.

Esther holds an LL.B from the University of Nairobi (2019) and a Diploma of Law from the Kenya School of Law (2021). She was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2021. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and serves on the Small Claims Court Bar‑Bench Committee.
