Radhika Arora

Radhika Arora is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, international arbitration, and insolvency and restructuring. She advises both local and international clients across a range of sectors, including financial services, capital markets, and infrastructure, representing commercial banks, regulators, and multinational corporations in complex disputes before arbitral tribunals and the superior courts in Kenya.

Radhika has advised a pan-African bank in a USD 25 million ICC arbitration seated in London; a Kenyan contractor in a USD 6 million ad hoc arbitration involving breach of contract under the JBC standard form; Carbacid Investments PLC and Aksaya Investments LLP in a contested USD 38 million takeover bid for BOC Kenya Limited before the Capital Markets Tribunal and the High Court; Uber B.V. in a representative action challenging its pricing model; the Attorney General before the Supreme Court of Kenya in a petition concerning the Basic Structure Doctrine; National Bank of Kenya in certification proceedings arising from a KES 2.2 billion judgment; the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation in litigation brought by depositors of Imperial Bank (In Liquidation); the Central Bank of Kenya in a claim seeking KES 84 billion in damages; KCB Bank in proceedings following enforcement of security over a KES 5.2 billion facility; SBM Bank in a dispute involving the Transfer of Business Act and Kenya Deposit Insurance Act; and Cerba HealthCare SAS in complex shareholder litigation involving dividends, sweat equity, and loan capitalisation.

Radhika holds an LL.B from the University of Kent, with European Legal Studies from the University of Vienna, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and is fluent in English and Hindi.
