Valentine Kichwen

Valentine Kichwen is an Associate at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, practicing in the Real Estate and Banking & Finance departments, specializing in Real Estate Law. She focuses on real estate and real estate finance transactions, including acquisitions, zoning and permitting issues, infrastructure and leases in the office, retail, and industrial real estate sectors, and security perfection.

Valentine has handled various real estate projects and has been instrumental in assisting the successful completion of large‑scale conveyancing transactions. She has assisted in due diligence, drafting conveyancing documents, negotiating contractual terms, and attending to registration formalities. She has also advised on setting up controlled development estates in Nairobi, negotiated lease terms for a leading hotel following an internal audit, advised on insolvency procedures and their effect on trading, employment, and tenancy agreements, and assisted in probate and administration matters including drafting wills and obtaining letters of administration.

She holds an LL.B from the University of Nairobi (2018), a Diploma of Law from the Kenya School of Law (2020), and is a Certified Secretary Part 3 Finalist (KASNEB, 2018). She was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2021.
