Brenda Matu

Brenda Matu is a Senior Associate at ENS in Kenya, specialising in Real Estate Law. She advises clients on real estate and property management, property acquisition, disposal, and development, property finance and loan securities, forensic and due diligence investigations, private client work, and energy and infrastructure projects.

She has acted for clients in a variety of industries, including insurance, large‑scale Kenyan property developers, manufacturing, and local banks, providing strategic legal counsel on complex real estate transactions and regulatory compliance matters. She is recognised as a Key Lawyer in The Legal 500 EMEA (2025‑2026) for Real Estate in Kenya. She is a member of the Kenya Law Society and the East Africa Law Society.

She holds an LL.B (Honours) from Kenyatta University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She is admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and is a Notary Public.
