Damaris Okeyo

Damaris Okeyo is an Associate in the Corporate Services Department at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in corporate governance and company secretarial services. She has over three years of experience supporting companies in Kenya and other jurisdictions across a wide range of corporate secretarial functions.

Damaris has extensive expertise in ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, company incorporations, deregistration, official changes, alteration of share capital, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date corporate records in line with Kenyan legal requirements. She has been involved in the incorporation of Wealth Management and Bancassurance subsidiaries for Victoria Commercial Bank, the linking of various companies on the Business Registration Services platform, and ensuring compliance of private companies, companies limited by guarantee, trusts, and foreign companies. She is also skilled in organising board and shareholder meetings, preparing resolutions and extracts, advising on corporate governance best practices, and liaising with regulators such as the Business Registration Service and the Kenya Revenue Authority.
