Elizabeth Karua

Elizabeth Karua is a Partner at Stamford Corporate Services LLP, a subsidiary of Coulson Harney (Bowmans Kenya) in Nairobi, specialising in corporate governance and company secretarial services. She has over ten years' experience as a practicing Certified Public Secretary and Corporate Governance consultant, well-versed in the provisions and application of the Companies Act, 2015 and other applicable corporate laws and statutory regulations of Kenya.

Elizabeth's experience ranges from serving as Company Secretary for various entities across different sectors, providing support in the management of Board and General meetings, and setting up legal entities. She has vast experience in compliance matters, restructuring and re-organisation of share capital and directorships, maintaining statutory books of companies, and deregistration and winding up of legal entities. Her other areas of specialisation include governance assessments, drafting governance policies and procedures and governance tools, Board inductions, evaluations, and trainings.

Elizabeth holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Nairobi, a Certified Secretary (CS) Qualification from KASNEB, and is an Accredited Governance Auditor with the Institute of Certified Secretaries.
