James Kimani

James Kimani is a Senior Associate in the Tax practice at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, specializing in Tax Advisory Law. He has more than six years' experience providing tax advisory and dispute resolution services to a diverse range of local and multinational clients across all tax heads.

James has represented clients in complex tax disputes at the Tax Appeals Tribunal and through the Kenya Revenue Authority's alternative dispute resolution mechanism, resolving high‑value tax disputes. He also advises on direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, transaction structuring, and corporate restructuring.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Nairobi (2015) and completed the Advocates Training Program at the Kenya School of Law (2016).
