Nadia Gitu

Nadia Gitu is an Associate in the Corporate Team at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate governance. She advises clients on domestic and cross‑border M&A, corporate restructurings, and regulatory compliance across a wide range of sectors.

Nadia has advised Brookfield Asset Management on its intended takeover of Network International Holdings PLC; Amsons Industries Kenya on its public takeover and acquisition of 100% of Bamburi Cement; Twiga Holdings on its acquisition of 50.6% of the shares in Jumra, Sojpar, and Raisons Distributors; Invest International Capital on its investment in CarePay International; and Finnfund, Vestas Eastern Africa, and KIF on the transfer of their shares in Lake Turkana Wind Power into the Climate Finance Partnership managed by BlackRock Group. She has also acted for East Africa Growth Holding on a subscription and co‑investment transaction in I&M Group, advised on multi‑jurisdictional vendor due diligence and competition filings across COMESA, Kenya, and Tanzania, and trained the Board of Directors of Kakuzi on corporate governance requirements for listed companies.

Nadia holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Kent (2019), an LL.M from University College London (2020), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law (2023). She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya), and the Mediation Training Institute of East Africa.
