Nelius Wanjohi

Nelius Wanjohi is an Associate at IKM Advocates, specialising in infrastructure law, energy law, and project finance. She advises on local, regional, and international transactions across the full lifecycle of infrastructure and energy projects, including renewable energy, public‑private partnerships (PPPs), construction contracts, public procurement, and government contracting. She also has experience in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, private equity investments, and multi‑jurisdictional corporate transactions.

She has expertise in project structuring, legal due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documentation, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement across the energy, infrastructure, and corporate sectors. Her practice spans both advisory and transactional work, delivering strategic legal solutions to clients across multiple jurisdictions.

She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was awarded the Clara Belfield and Henry Bates Fellowship, the Darrow Scholarship, and the Aga Khan International Scholarship, and was recognised as a 1L LCLD Scholar. She also holds a First Class Honours degree in Quantity Surveying from the Technical University of Kenya. She is admitted to the New York State Bar.
