Qabale Guyo

Qabale Guyo is an Associate at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in infrastructure law, project finance, and energy and natural resources. She advises on transactions across the project lifecycle, including feasibility and due diligence, structuring and procurement, drafting and negotiation of key project and financing documents, and financial close.

Qabale has advised STOA S.A. on its USD 27 million equity investment in Atlas Tower Kenya, including legal due diligence, transaction structuring, and securing regulatory approvals; Africa50 and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited on Kenya's first transmission PPP with KETRACO, covering PPP structuring, risk allocation, and engagement with government stakeholders; and Haskoning Nederland B.V. on the Naivasha Special Economic Zone and the Domestic Bulk Water Supply & Wastewater PPP, including PPP compliance, land and environmental risk assessment. She has also advised Independent Power Producers on the negotiation and structuring of Power Purchase Agreements with Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), and a solar energy asset financier on the project financing of a large-scale solar energy development.

Qabale holds an LL.B from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and is fluent in English, Oromo, and Swahili.
