Peter Okaalet Jr

Peter Okaalet Jr. is a Partner in the Corporate, Commercial, and Real Estate team at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, and capital markets. With over 11 years of experience, he is an expert in corporate restructuring, regulation of non‑governmental organisations, and public‑private partnerships.

Peter has advised Bestseller Foundation on the acquisition of an equity stake in Samasource Kenya; Kansai Plascon Africa on the acquisition of Sadolin Kenya and Sadolin Uganda; Sabmiller PLC on the indirect investment in Equator Bottlers; and AAR Insurance Holdings on the transfer of the insurance portfolio of Afrocentric Health Solutions and the subscription of shares in AAR Insurance Holdings. He has also advised SMEP DTM on its corporate restructuring and capital raising through a public offer of shares.

Peter holds an LL.B from the University of Pretoria (2009) and a Diploma of Law (Bar Finals) from the Kenya School of Law (2012). He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya. He is recognised by Chambers and Partners for advising companies on domestic acquisitions.
