Sheilla Mware

Sheilla Mware is a Senior Associate at Dentons Hamilton, Harrison & Mathews, practicing in the Corporate, Commercial and Real Estate team, specializing in Real Estate Law. She has experience in real estate, conveyancing, conservation, and corporate and commercial law.

Sheilla has advised on a number of significant transactions, including the acquisition of an equity stake in a cement manufacturing company with operations in Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda; advising on property acquisitions for the establishment of a wind farm in Kajiado County, including due diligence on existing leases, easements, and litigation; advising on the acquisition of an equity stake in the Kenyan franchisee of an international fast‑food restaurant chain; and advising on the structuring of a large‑scale mixed‑use development in Kiambu. She also regularly acts for vendors in the sale, transfer, and leasing of residential, retail, commercial, and industrial premises, and handles general conveyancing and property due diligence.

Sheilla holds an LL.B from the University of Nairobi (2015), a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law (2016), and an LL.M from the University of Cambridge (2019), where she was a recipient of the Oxford Cambridge Society of Kenya Scholarship. She was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2018 and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
