Vruti Shah

Vruti Shah is a Partner at Bowmans in Nairobi and a member of the Mergers & Acquisition and Projects team, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate and business restructuring, and regulatory compliance. She advises institutional investors, private equity funds, large corporates, and family businesses on public and private M&A, joint ventures, capital raisings, and complex restructuring transactions.

Vruti has advised Rubis Energie S.A.S on the acquisition of the entire share capital of Gulf Energy Holdings by Kenol Kobil PLC; Emerging Capital Partners on due diligence for the financing of Mbaraki Bulk Terminal; First Carlyle Growth V on the acquisition of 60% of AK Life Sciences; and Kenya Airways on its USD 2 billion balance sheet debt and equity restructuring. She has also advised CDC Group on its USD 140 million investment into ARM Cement; Star Foods Holding on the acquisition of Java House (Mauritius) from ECP Africa; Kuehne + Nagel on its acquisition of Trillvane; and aided the exit of Aureos Africa Fund, Swedfund, and AfricInvest from UAP Holdings.

Vruti holds an LL.B from the University of London and graduated cum laude in the Legal Practice Course from Nottingham Law School. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
