Benazir Ahmed Ibrahim

Benazir Ahmed Ibrahim is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial Practice Group at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, competition law, and corporate and commercial law. She advises on M&A transactions, competition matters, private client work, and general corporate and commercial advisory matters.

Benazir has assisted in filing several merger notifications and exclusion applications to the Competition Authority of Kenya, prepared merger filings to the COMESA Competition Commission, conducted due diligence exercises in respect of various M&A transactions, and prepared advisory opinions on merger control, restrictive trade practices, and general corporate matters. She also has experience in private client work, including estate planning, and in drafting and reviewing transaction documents including share purchase agreements and shareholders' agreements.

Benazir holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Strathmore University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya. She is fluent in English and Swahili.
