Cindy Rennys Miyoma

Cindy Miyoma is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial Department at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, and competition law. She advises clients on corporate finance, general corporate advisory, and regulatory compliance matters across multiple sectors.

Cindy has advised Hollard Insurance on its acquisition of a minority stake in the Apollo Group; Vantage Capital on its mezzanine funding for Two Rivers; Highland Creamers and Foods on its acquisition by Maziwa; KCB Bank on the competition and regulatory aspects of its acquisition of TMB Bank in South Sudan; Braeburn on competition compliance in its acquisition of Hillcrest; and Phatisa on its investment in MHL International Holdings. She is regularly responsible for conducting due diligence for entities in banking, insurance, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical sectors, drafting and negotiating transaction documents including shareholders' agreements, share purchase agreements, disclosure letters, and business and asset transfer agreements, and preparing legal opinions on commercial matters including setting up businesses in Kenya, capital markets, and competition regulation in Kenya and COMESA. She also manages cross-jurisdictional projects across the firm's African footprint.

Cindy holds an LL.B from Kabarak University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
