Maria Walusala

Maria Walusala is an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial transactions, and employment advisory. She has been involved in numerous corporate commercial transactions, including business and asset transfers, joint venture transactions, and general corporate commercial and employment advisory work.

Maria has conducted due diligence in respect of one of the largest insurers in Kenya, worked as part of the administrator's team in the administration of an insolvent Kenyan company, advised on the business and asset transfer of Britannia Foods Limited by Kenafric Biscuits Limited, and conducted vendor due diligence on a digital wholesale and retail platform across the entity's operating companies. She has also drafted and reviewed transaction documents including share purchase agreements and shareholders' agreements.

Maria holds an LL.B from Strathmore University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
