Jacob Odanga

Jacob Odanga is an Associate in the Real Estate and Construction Department at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna, specialising in real estate law, property development, and conveyancing. He advises on property acquisitions, property joint ventures, structuring of property developments including residential and mixed-use projects, construction contracts, asset and share acquisitions, and non-contentious probate matters.

Jacob has acted for AVIC International Real Estate Kenya on a mixed-use development comprising one of the tallest office blocks in Kenya; Centum on the Two Rivers Mall, a five-year, 100-acre, fully-integrated mixed-use development and the largest of its kind in Kenya; Actis investee companies on a USD 250 million integrated mixed-use development comprising a 500,000 square feet retail mall and 215 residential units; Impact North on a USD 110 million industrial park and Grade A warehousing on a 103-acre parcel in Ruiru; Karibu Homes on a mixed-use development comprised of 1,000 low-cost homes, office space, a shopping centre, a school, and a hospital in Athi River; and Hemingways Watamu on the redevelopment and refurbishment of a high-end luxury hotel. He also advises various banks on structuring, drafting, and perfection of securities including charges and debentures.

Jacob holds an LL.B from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (2020) and a Diploma in Law (Paralegal Studies) from the Kenya School of Law (2012). He has completed CIPIT's Data Protection Course at Strathmore University (2023).
