Joseph Omwenga

Joseph Omwenga is a Partner in the Corporate Commercial and Real Estate teams at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, and infrastructure and PPP projects. He has extensive experience in domestic and cross‑border transactions, providing comprehensive legal advice on legal due diligence, deal structuring, and drafting and negotiation of agreements.

Joseph has advised Abland Diversified Holdings Limited on its acquisition of 50% shareholding in Buffalo Mall Naivasha Limited; Sojitz Corporation on the establishment of a joint venture with a Kenyan manufacturing company; Agris Africa Limited on the sale and purchase of seven properties from Domino Investments; Grit Real Estate Income Group on the purchase of plots from Tatu City Limited; and Africa Logistics Properties Holdings on land acquisition, construction, and leasing of Nairobi's first modern grade‑A logistics warehousing. He has also advised on the establishment of the first privately owned special economic zone in Kenya, on the sale of Gulf Energy Limited's oil marketing business to a pan‑African downstream oil company, and on the acquisition of a 60% stake in two UAE companies with eight Kenyan subsidiaries offering medical services.

Joseph holds an LL.B from the University of Nairobi and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
