Anthony Gakuru

Anthony Gakuru is a Partner at ENS in Kenya, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, private equity, and technology, media and telecommunications law. He advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including managing legal due diligence and forensics, mergers, joint ventures and acquisitions, capital markets, telecommunications, business establishment, and regulatory compliance.

Anthony has acted for a number of private equity houses in their investments in the East Africa region, providing strategic counsel on complex cross-border transactions and regulatory matters. He is an International Lawyers For Africa (ILFA) 2019 Alumni, during which he was seconded to Clifford Chance LLP in London.

Anthony holds an LL.B (Honours) from Moi University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is admitted as an Advocate and Notary Public of the High Court of Kenya and is a Commissioner for Oaths. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, the East Africa Law Society, and the International Bar Association.
