Kendall Evans

Kendall Evans is a Partner at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate transactions. He advises on public and private M&A, private equity investments, insurance-linked securities, joint ventures, corporate structures and restructurings, capital markets, capital raisings, and listings on the Nairobi Securities Exchange.

Kendall has advised Norfund, The Rohtam Group, and Aaavishkaar on the USD 25 million debt financing to Balaji EPZ; Mawingu Mauritius on convertible loans from InfraCo and FMO; IBL Ltd and Proparco on the acquisition of 65% of the shares in Westlands Heights, the holding company of Harley's pharmaceutical businesses; the shareholders of PEG Africa on the sale of PEG Africa to Bboxx Limited; E3 Capital Management on its investment in Carbon Value Exchange Ltd; and Allianz SE on its KES 10.8 billion acquisition of a controlling stake in Jubilee Insurance's general insurance business across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Mauritius, and Burundi. He has also advised on the cross‑listing of Bank of Kigali on the NSE and the USD 2 billion capital and debt restructuring of Kenya Airways PLC.

Kendall holds a BSc from the University of Durham, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from BPP College of Professional Studies, and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is admitted as an advocate in Kenya, a solicitor in England, Wales and Hong Kong, and a barrister and attorney in Bermuda.
