Lavinia Anampio

Lavinia Anampio is a Senior Associate at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, practicing in the Corporate, Commercial and Real Estate department, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. She has experience advising on corporate matters, commercial matters, and M&A, including business set‑up, due diligence, corporate restructuring, legal and regulatory compliance, and preparation of commercial contracts.

Lavinia has advised an international company on regulatory and compliance requirements for setting up a taxi hailing service in Kenya; assisted in conducting due diligence over a Tier 2 Kenyan bank with respect to a proposed acquisition of 22% of its share capital; drafted transaction documents for the sale of an oil marketing business to a pan‑African downstream oil company; assisted in due diligence for the acquisition of a 65% stake in a Tier 2 Kenyan bank by four private equity firms; advised on the investment of £80 million by a UK government corporation into a Kenyan company; and advised on the acquisition of 100% of two local flower companies by an international company.

She holds an LL.B from Strathmore University (2016), an Advocates Training Programme from the Kenya School of Law (2017), and an LL.M from the University of Notre Dame (2020). She was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
