Ruth Mbulwa Muthama

Ruth Mbulwa Muthama is an Associate at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, competition law, capital markets, regulatory compliance, data protection, and employment law. She advises clients across a range of sectors on corporate and commercial matters, including M&A, regulatory compliance, and fintech.

Ruth has advised Moniepoint Inc. on the acquisition of 100% of the issued share capital of KopoKopo, including conducting legal and regulatory due diligence, reviewing the merger agreement, and obtaining approvals from the Competition Authority of Kenya. She also advises clients on competition law issues related to mergers and restrictive trade practices, compliance requirements under the Data Protection Act, and employment matters including redundancy and terminations.

Ruth holds an LL.B from Strathmore University (2022) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law (2024). She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
