Stephanie Mulului

Stephanie Mulului is an Associate in the Intellectual Property and Technology Department at Bowmans in Nairobi, specialising in intellectual property law, data protection and privacy, and technology law. She advises local, regional, and international clients on diverse practice areas including data protection and privacy, trademarks, copyright, counterfeits, technology and telecommunications law, corporate governance, commercial law, labour law, and property law.

Stephanie has assisted in the registration of NCBA trademarks in various African jurisdictions, provided advice on the regulation of cryptocurrencies in Kenya, advised clients on counterfeit law and assisted in enforcing intellectual property rights offline and online, and provided advice to Uber B.V. on regulatory and compliance matters. She has also reviewed commercial agreements including royalty agreements, assignment deeds, licensing agreements, distributorship agreements, franchise agreements, and master service agreements, and prepared and reviewed data protection and privacy policies in line with the Data Protection Act and regulations. She has further advised on employee disciplinary procedures, prepared and reviewed employee contracts, disciplinary procedures manuals, and human resource manuals.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (AMECEA) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
