Faith Gititu

Faith Gititu is a Senior Advocate at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, practicing in the Corporate Commercial department, specializing in Banking and Finance Law. She advises both local and foreign lenders, as well as borrowers, on financing transactions, with extensive experience in drafting and negotiating facility agreements and perfecting securities under Kenyan law in favour of various local and international lenders.

Faith has acted for a tier one Kenyan Bank and its subsidiary in the DRC on amending and restating a term loan facility for a cement manufacturer, guaranteed by a Hong Kong‑based guarantor; acted for an international lender on a trade finance facility to a leading oil company secured by a debenture over financed products and receivables; acted for a leading tier one commercial bank in Kenya on overhauling its entire suite of loan and security documentation templates; acted for a regional development bank as local law counsel on a US$80 million revolving structured oil import trade finance facility; and acted as Kenyan law advisers to an international coffee manufacturer under a syndicated working capital facility from several international lenders. She also has expertise in real estate transactions, conducting property due diligence and overseeing registration of dispositions in land.

She holds an LL.B from Kenyatta University (2017) and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
