Rose Georgina Onyango

Rose Georgina Onyango is a Principal Associate in the Banking, Finance and Insolvency Department at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna, specialising in banking and finance law, project finance, and insolvency and restructuring. She focuses on banking and finance transactions involving development finance institutions and banks, as well as insolvency and restructuring transactions.

Rose Georgina has acted for a development finance institution in connection with its funding of a blue carbon project in Africa. She has represented various lenders, including local commercial banks, investment banks, and development finance institutions, in structuring financing arrangements with borrowers, including the perfection of securities relating to financing, property acquisitions, working capital financing, collateral management, and the subordination of shareholder and director loans. She also advises on deregistration and voluntary liquidation procedures for branches and subsidiaries of foreign companies in Kenya.

Rose Georgina holds an LL.B (Second Class Honours – Upper Division) from Kenyatta University (2021), a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law (2023), and was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2024. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
